It’s dark in here
Shadows of gray shade imposed upon innocence.
I’m looking for someone’s sky,
To finger paint myself.
Wondering what it was like to fly.
A dragonfly, butterfly, a bird, an airplane,
Reaching unimaginable heights
A wish anchored by gravity.
Our prison with no promised release.
Death the only door,
Death the only key,
To the unknown to return?
Oh! Confusion, illusion, allusion, intrusion.
Drag me safely in.
Yet I play to stray.
I weep for your darkness.
With invisible pen at hand,
You try to draw your life with broken shattered dreams.
Betrayed by existence.
You reached into the past and dragged it screaming to the now.
Offering a choice of two agonies of darkness.
Red light, face twitching, twisting, changing, perplexed reading.
Light stream wanderings.
It’s dark in here.
