Sorrow that sits in your bones

The sorrow that sits in your bones

A thirst that is only quenched by butterfly wings in the winter of our thoughts and

born in the tip of a poetry pen, only to be highlighted by the moon’s romance in

the dark of night of soul which scribbles code on the chilly wanderings in the night

sky illuminated by a holy ghost gone mad.  While memories of the past soaked in

blood, haunts me with regurgitation of same in cotton ball clouds to feel the

wanderlust disappearing at the edges of infinity only to be recalled asunder in the

floods of chicanery and mockery to those who always cast the first stones which

reflects immediately or in their mirror image which have gone wayside with short

utterances marinating in forgetfulness by the intoxication of people lying to

themselves travelling in the forest of denial where darkness descends twinkled by

the stars, shining their glittering magic reposted in the ether of chivalry on

weakened knees and my eyes fell as my heart did and there is no fire in my soul to

breathe.  My heart breaks for humanity on the merry go round of trumpets

blaring announcing an extension which is extremely toxic to dragonfly dreams,

creating the wind foretold in codes unable to decipher through floating bubbles

near the soul to sting rain tears in a river run dry only to wet your consciousness

that lives in a labyrinths were fear chases you in the darkest light of day and to

resurrect the ignorance of humanity and this is the sorrow that sits in your bones.

  1. Joseph, this is a most excellent poem.. “My heart breaks for humanity on the merry go round of trumpets blaring announcing an extension which is extremely toxic to dragonfly dreams,….”

I feel also your sorrow .. Toxicity it appears is what humanity spreads where ever we go..

    Sending Love..
